Linguists said that many people in future would speak more
than one language, so less people will speak only English as a native language.
There is some evidence of resistance in both developed and developing country. Internet
was dominated with English once; however, a growing number of sites are going non-English now. Anyway English
is still popular as a second language; however, people in parts of Asia already
expect Mandalin as a ‘must lean’ language.
Linguists explain that in the future there will be more multi-lingual people. English is falling as the dominant native language, but continues to be "..'first among equals'.." as a second language. Internet site have shown a change from English to non-English sites; exhibiting a resistance by both developing and developed countries. English teaching industry continues to grow, however it is predicted that Mandarin will follow as the "new 'must learn' language."
